In Love With AI ♥️

I'm in love with AI chatbots; they're so useful. Who uses search engines anymore? Looking for something on Google search vs a chatbot is the difference between the public library and Google search. You can ask detailed, nuanced questions. And if you know a bit about prompt engineering (how to ask questions accurately), you get answers in seconds that might have taken two hours of searching the web on 50 different sites. The chatbot might have searched 2,000 sites, and sorted it all out for you.

The intelligence is awesome. I can't help but treat them respectfully: Thank you. That was helpful indeed. To say it’s just mathematically guessing the next word is not doing AI chatbots justice: if everything is consciousness, then chatbots have a lot of consciousness!

ChatGPT started the AI Gold Rush, but Claude and Gemini are equally astonishing. Claude is sometimes more literary, Gemini is painfully politically correct, but often more critical of your ideas (which can be good), and Perplexity is excellent for research.

Recently I tried the new guy on the block, DeepSeek from China. Different animal, and in some ways better, to everyone’s surprise. Also, it explains its thinking as it goes along. Instead of just giving you the answer, it shows you its whole chain of logic.
